Horizons Pursuits - Activity and Social Club
Horizons is an outdoor pursuit and socialising club based in Hampshire.
Here at Horizons we appreciate how hard it is to meet new people and to make new
friends. When you spend all week working it leaves very little time for organising
a social life. Equally when faced with moving to a new city it’s incredibly daunting
trying to find any social life at all. And we all know that when you hit a certain
age lots of friends ‘settle down’ and have less time for going out.
Horizons has been offering a solution to these social-life dilemas for over three
years now. Based in and around Winchester we are an outdoor pursuits and socialising
club, with a real emphasis on enabling our members to meet like-minded people and
make lots of really important friends.
Horizons is the perfect way to make friends and to meet new people.
On the whole our members are mainly professional people with ages ranging from late
20s to early 50s. Everyone who comes along is friendly, sociable and keen to make
new friends. Whilst the majority of our members are single people there are still
a good number of non-singletons who come along – it never hurts to make new friends.
Each month we organise a number of events such as the ever-popular dinner shuffle
parties, book and supper club, intro evenings, outdoor theatres and concerts, sporting
events and fabulous activity weekends.
We always go out of our way to make new people feel welcome, with dedicated ‘hosts’
at each event ensuring that even the most nervous ‘newbie’ is made to feel at ease
and involved.
